A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2021 AND AUTHORIZING THE RELOCATION
OF THE PRESENT ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT CITY LIGHT PLANT TO RESIDUE OF LANDS
ACQUIRED IN THE RIVERFRONT DRIVE PROJECT NOT NEEDED FOR RIVERFRONT DRIVE
RIGHT-OF-WAY: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the present Electric Department City Light Plant is located
on land needed for the right-of-way of the Riverfront Drive; and
WHEREAS, in the acquisition of lands for the said Riverfront Drive
and right-of-way, it has been necessary to purchase some properties of
greater area than is actually needed for said right-of-way, which residual
properties would normally be sold at public sale; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed proper and advisable that certain lands previously
acquired and hereafter mentioned be retained by the City for municipal use,
the said lands not being needed for said right-of-way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKAN SAS:
SECTION 1. The Electric Department of the City of Little Rock is hereby
authorized to relocate its City Light Plant on the following property of this
city, to-wit: That part of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 136, City of Little Rock,
lying South of the South right-of-way line of the right-of-way of Riverfront
Drive, and that part of Lots 5 and 6, Block 136, City of Little Rock, lying
between the South right-of-way line of the Riverfront Drive, and the South 40'
of Lots 5 and 6.
SECTION 2. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict are
hereby repealed, and this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its its patmentyandxmanammauKx adoption,
