A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY
PLAN FOR AN EXTENSION TO THE LITTLE ROCK RIVERFRONT
DRIVE PROJECT, PROVIDING TEAT IT GO TO A POINT ON
LINCOLN AVENUE ,APPROXIMATELY 250 FEET 1 EST OF TEE
VEST END OF THE MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD OVERPASS
STRUCTURE IMMEDIATELY EAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF
CROSS AND NORTH STREETS, PROVIDING THAT A COPY OF
THIS RESOLUTION BE SENT TO TEE ARKANSAS STATE HIGH-
WAY DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Department agrees that
an extension of the Little Rock Riverfront Drive Project to a
point on Lincoln Avenue, approximately 250 feet Vest of the
West end of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Overpass Structure,
immediately Last of the intersection of Cross and North Streets,
is desirable and feasible ; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Department agrees to
proceed with such extension under the terms of a contract be-
tween the Arkansas State Highway Department and the City of
Little Rock, dated June 25, 1953 ; and
WHEREAS, attorneys for the City of Little Rock endmilim
lammappindMinim affirm the authority of the Mayor and the Little
Rock City Council to proceed with such extension under the
terms of the aforesaid contract:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Little Rock Riverfront Drive be ex-
tended as described hereinbefore under the terms of the contract
between the Arkansas State Highway Department and the City of
Little Rock, dated June 25, 1953 .
SECTION 2. That a copy of this resolution, signed and ap-
proved by the Mayor, be sent to the Arkansas State highway De-
partment.
SECTION 3 . That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its XIMMAAXXXWMIXAMAga adoption.
