A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR THE HEARING OF A PETITION
TO VACATE A PORTION OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK
8 OF RUSSELL' S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS , AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE
NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING BY PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, Dr. Alvin W. Strauss and Tracye A. Strauss, his
wife, have filed a petition with the City Council requesting the
Council to vacate a portion of the north and south alley in Block
8 of Russell' s Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas , extending from a point 57. 7 feet north of the south line
of said block to the south line of the Missouri Pacific Railway
right-of-way, and they have filed with their petition a photostatic
copy of the portion of the plat filed in the office of the Circuit
Clerk and ex officio Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas, which
shows the street or alley to be vacated, together with the lot and
block numbers of each lot which abuts upon the street or alley to
be vacated; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas , that the said petition shall be heard at 8:00 o' clock
P. M. on the 17th day of January, 1955, and the City Clerk is hereby
directed to give notice of such hearing according to the statute,
by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper
published and having a general circulation in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas .
