A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE CLOSING OF
A PORTION OF .1cALMONT STREET DIVIDING BLOCK 38 AND BLOCK 40
FRO1. BLOCK 39, BRAGG'S SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICES THEREOF; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the ILA day of ftOetoy, 1954,
asking that the City Council vacate and abandon a portion of
McAlmont Street dividing Lots 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block 38, and
Lots 9, 10, 11 and 12, Block 40, from Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
10, and 11, Block 39, all in Bragg's Second Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the portion of said street to
be vacated and closed being more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at a point 10 feet South of the
Southeast corner of Lot 11, Block 38, Bragg's
Second Addition to the City of Little Rock
and run thence South to the North line of
Roosevelt Road; thence East to the East
boundary line of NcAlmont Street; thence North
along the East boundary line of NcAlmont Street
to a point East of the point of beginning;
thence West and across McAlmont Street to point
of beginning; and,
WHEREAS, said petition has been signed by all the owners
of property abutting on that portion of the street to be vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
29th
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that the%day of 1/4 „..I
1954, be fixed as the day for hearing the petition to vacate
the above described portion of McAlmont Street and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing by pub-
lication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper
published in Pulaski County, and having a general circulation
in the City of Little Rock. The notice shall state the name of
the person who signed the petition and the name of the street

or portion thereof to be vacated. All persons shall be advised
that on the certain day named in the notice the Council will
determine whether or not the portion of McAlmont Street designated
in said Notice should be vacated.
