HASTINGS, JR . , TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PART OF GEYER STREET (PLATTED AS PIERCE STREET) AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE THEREOF ACCORDING TO LAW. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of Little Rock, Arkansas , on the 13 day of April, 1953, requesting the City Council to vacate and abandon a street platted as Pierce Street, now known as Geyer Street, running North and South. between East 26th Street and East Roosevelt Road, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas . Lots 1 and 20, Block 2, National Park Sub-division of Block 1, Watkins Addition to the City of Little Rock, abutting said street on its East side, and the West 922 feet of the Northeast Quarter (NE*) of Lot 2, Block 2, Watkins Addition to the City of Little Rock, abutting said street on its West side; and WHEREAS, the petition conforms in all respects to the laws of the State of Arkansas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS : SECTION 1. That the 27 day of April, 1953, be and it hereby is fixed as the day for the hearing of the petition and that the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , give notice thereof by pub- lication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski County and having general circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , said notice to state the name of the signers of the petition, to identify the street by the abutting lot numbers , and to advise all persons that on the above mentioned date the Council will hear and determine whether the street shall be vacated; and SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the City Clerk being hereby directed to do the above mentioned things forthwith.
