A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THAT THE PROBLEM OF THE NARROWNESS OF THE STREET AT EIGHTH AND JOHNSON STREETS, LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, BE REFERRED TO THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY, PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION, THE CITY ENGINEER, THE CITY TRAFFIC ENGINEER AND THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, TO TAKE SUCH ACTION AFTER MAKING A STUDY OF SAID PROBLEM AS THEY MAY THINK NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING SAID STREET. WHEREAS the street in the vicinity of Eighth and Johnson Streets, Little Rock, Arkansas, is extremely narrow; and WHEREAS the narrowness of such street has created a bad traffic problem; and WHEREAS such problem should be solved as quickly as possible for the benefit of the citizens of Little Rock; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the traffic problem presented to the City by the narrowness of the street in the vicinity of Eighth and Johnson Streets be and the matter is hereby referred to the City Attorney's office, the Public Works Commission, the City Engineer, the Traffic Engineer and the Mayor, f or a solution of said problem. SECTION 2. Be it further resolved that the aforesaid people be fully authorized to take any and all necessary steps for the purpose of solving said problem. SECTION 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. ADOPTED: December c(, 1952 ATTEST: APPROVED: F44.0` City Clerk Mayor
