A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON A PETITION TO VACATE AND ABANDON CERTAIN
STREETS OF WHICH THE ARKANSAS LIVESTOCK SHOW
A"SOCIATION IS THE OWNER IN FEE SIMPLE OF ALL
THE ABUTTING PROPERTY LOCATE.) ON SAID S`1REETS,
SAID STREETS TO BE ABANDONED BEING PARK AVENUE
FROM THE SOUTH SIDE OF 26TH STREET TO THE CENTER
OF BLOCK 5 IN SUNSET ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, AND 29TH STREET FROM PARK AVENUE TO
THE WEST SIDE OF SCHILLER STREET, AND 30TH STREET
FROM PARK AVENUE TO THE WEST SIDE OF LOT 10 IN
BLOCK L OF SUNSET ADDITION AND THE WEST SIDE OF
LOT 1, BLOCK 5 OF SUNSET ADDI TTON; PROVIDING FOR
THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed by the Arkaz sas
Livestock Show Association on June 17, 1952, with the Little
Rock City Clerk, asking that the City Council vacate and
abandon Park Avenue from the South side of 26th Street to the
center of Block 5 in Sunset Addition to the City of Little
Rock, and 29th Street from Park Avenue to the West side of
Schiller Street and 30th Street from Park Avenue to the West
side of Lot 10, Block 4, Sunset Addition, and the West side
of Lot 1, Block 5 in Sunset Addition:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
That the 1)4. day of July, 1952, be fixed as the date
for the hearing upon the petition to vacate and abandon Park
Avenue from the South side of 26th Street to the center of
Block 5 in Sunset Addition to the City of Little Rock and 29th
Street from Park Avenue to the West side of Schiller Street and
30th Street from Park Avenue to the West side of Lot 10, Block
L of Sunset Addition, and also the West side of Lot 1, Block 5
of Sunset Addition, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to
give notice of said meeting by publication once a week for two
consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County
and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas . The notice shall state the name of the Arkansas Live-
stock Show Association as the body requesting abandonment of

said streets and shall name or describe the portion of
the streets to be vacated and advise all persons that on
a said day therein named the Council will hear and
determine whether the portions of said streets described
shall be vacated.
