RESOLUTION NO. 1927 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO JOIN WITH PROPERTY OWNERS IN A WRITTEN AGREEMENT CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY ACROSS BLOCK EIGHTEEN (18), PULASKI HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: WHEREAS, the owners of all lands located within the boundaries of Block Eighteen (18), Pulaski Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, together with their mortgagees and all utility companies having installations along or across the alley intersecting said block in a northerly and southerly direction, have duly executed and acknowledged a written agreement for the abandonment of said alley; which agreement, except for the execution thereof by the authorized officials of the City of Little Rock, meets all the requirements of Section 19-3817 of Arkansas Statutes (1947) Annotated, the names of the parties who have joined in the execution of said instrument being as follows: r rances Stewart ,'ayland, Lillian Ehlenbeck Sanders, Ada Burden Matson, It. H. Matson, sr., Mrs. Susan Lorena Davis, Harry E. Meek, Mona V. Meek, First Federal Savings and Loan Association, Jorthen Bank and Trust Company, Arkansas Power and Light Company, and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, and WHEREAS, this Council finds that the alley intersecting said Block Eighteen (18), Pulaski Heights Addition, in a northerly and southerly direction, is not needed for highway purposes; that the welfare of the city will be enhanced and promoted by closing and abandoning said alley; and that all requisite parties (except the City of Little hock) have joined in the execution of said agreement for the closing and abandonment thereof: NOW, THEREFORE, Pratt Remmel and H. C. Graham, as Mayor and City Clerk, respectively, of the City of Little Rock, are hereby authorized and empowered to join, on behalf of the Gity of Little Rock, in the execution of the above mentioned written instrument for the closing and abandonment of said alley, and to cause the same to be established of record as prescribed by law; it being ordered that from and after the execution of said instrument, as above authorized, by the City of Little hock (through its Mayor and City Clerk), said alley shall be considered as having been abandoned and perpetually closed.
