RESOLUTION NO. ],911
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WT1'H THE OWNERS OF BLOCK
FIFTEEN (15) , HOLLENBURG+S ADDN. TO SAID CITY, CLOSING THE ALLEY
IN SAID BLOCK.
WHEREAS, Albert L. Fletcher , Bishop of Little Rock , is the
owner of Block Fifteen (15) , Hollenburg' s Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, which is used solely for school purposes
by the Holy Souls Catholic Sehool; and
WHEREAS, an alley has been platted and dedicated to cross
said block but has never been opened or used by the public and it
is now desired to close the alley; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Power and Light Company and the South-
western Bell Telephone Company are the only utilities having poles,
pipes or lines through said alley; and
WHEREAS, this Council finds that said alley is not needed for
highway purposes and that the welfare of the City will be enhanced
and promoted by closing the alley; NOW, TI}REFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS :
S° CTION (1) That the Mayor and the City Clerk of this City be , and
they hereby are, authorized to enter into a written agreement under
the provisions of Ark. Stats . 19-3817, with Albert L. Fletcher , Bishop
of Little Rock, the Arkansas Power and Light Company and the South-
western Bell Telephone Company, closing and abandoning the alley in
Block Fifteen (15) , Hollenburg' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas.
