A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR PUBLIC DARING ON A
PETITION TO VACATE AND A BAdDON THAT PORTION OF THE
STREET RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH IN TILE MIDDLE OF STEMPEL'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, WHICH
IS BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY AN EXTENSION OF THE NORTH
BOUNDARY OF LOTS FIVE AND EIGHT AND ON THE SOUTH BY
THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF LOTS SEVEN AND SIX IN STEM,PEL'S
ADDITION AND BEING BOUNDED ON THE WEST BY LOTS SEVEN
AND EIGHT, AND ON THE EAST BY SAID LOTS FIVE AND SIX
OF STEMPEL'S ADDITION: PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION
OF THE NOTICES THEREOF: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed by Hugh E. Blevins and Mary
B. Blevins, his wife, James Hay McGiboney and Madrone Tyra McGiboney, his
wife, and Ralph K. Covington and Louise V. Covington, his wife, with the
City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 5th day of
June , 1950, asking that the City Council vacate and abandon all that
portion of the street running north and south in the middle of Stempel's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which is bounded on the
north by an extension of the morth boundary of Lots Five and Eight and
on the south by the south bondary of Lots Seven and Six in Stempel's
Addition and being bounded on the west by Lows Seven and Eight, and on the
east by said lots Five and Six of Stempel's Addition,
NOW, THER FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that the 26th day of June , 1950, be
fixed as the date for the hearing upon the petition to vacate andabandon
the aforesaid portion of said streetrunning north and south in the middle
of Stempel's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which is bounded
on the north by an extension of the north boundary of Lots Five and Eight
and on the south by the south boundary of Lots Seven and Six in Stempel's
Addition and being bounded on the west by lots Seven and Eight, and on the
east by said Lots Five and Six of Stempel's Addition, and the City Clerk
is hereby directed to give notice of said meeting by publication once a
week for two consecutive weeks in some newsier published in Pulaski County
and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. The
notice shall state the names of the persons who sign the petition and the
name or description of the portion of the street to be vacated and advise all
persons that on a said day therein named the Council will hear and determine
whether the portion of the street shall be vacated.
