A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
LEASE CONTRACT ON BEI ALF OF THE CITY WITH STARNES FLYING SERVICE FOR THE USE
OF HANGAR 22-A AND OTHER FACILITIES AT TEL MUNICIPAL AIRPORT: AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS the STARNES FLYING SERVICE, a base flying operator on Adams Field,
engaged exclusively in sales and service of aircraft, and also is conducting
a flying service under the auspices and direction of the CIVIL AERONAUTICS
ADMINISTRATION for the training of pilots, and
WHEREAS the said STARNES FLYING SERVICE is occupying the whole of *T"
hangars, identified as 22-A, consisting of four (4) units, and therein operating
an aircraft repair station and storage unit, and
WHEREAS the STARNES FLYING SERVICE has expended more than one thousand
dollars ($1,000.00) in improving Hangar 22-A and is desirous of further improv-
ing said hangar for the use and convenience of an Aviation Repair Station,
N0W, THsFORE, be it resolved that the STARNES FLYING SERVICE be allowed
to continue occupancy of the said Hangar R2-A, at the current charge of NINE
HUNLRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS ($960.00) annually, payable in monthly installments
of EI( HTY DOLLARS ($80.00) on the first day of each calendar month, at the
Municipal Airport office, and allowed to retain useage of the customary parking
space of area ajacent to Hangar 22-A from a point 75 feet North of the gasoline
storage to midway between 22-A and 22-B, and 20 feet East of building line of 22-A
for the purpose of ingress and egress, to 22-A and for parking of planes or tie
down facilities for planes owned, leased, or being repaired by lessee, and other
useage incident to the operation of an Aircraft Repair Station, for a period of
five years (5), beginning January 1, 1950 and ending December 31, 1954; that the
Airport manager be directed to invoice STARNES FLYING SERVICE at one half monthly
rental rate until contractural cost of concrete floor placed in T Hangar 22-A, by
lessee, is reimbursed to tenant, said amount not to exceed ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
($1,000.00).
Be it further resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby
authorized and directed to execute such contract or lease agreement for and on
behalf of the CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, unit of MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
