A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS TO JOIN AITH VARIOUS OTHER SUB-
DIVISIONS OF THE COUNTY IN PETITIONING THE COUNTY COURT
FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF PROFESSIONAL APPRAISERS TO APPRAISE
THE REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY OF PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS,
AUTHORIZING TEE PAYMENT OF THE PRO RATA SHARE THEREOF, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The present assessments of real and personal pro-
perty within Pulaski County is inadequate and represents only a
small percentage of the actual property values , and
WHEREAS, The Arkansas Legislature has by Act No. 351 of
1949 authorized the employment of qualified professional apprais-
ers to appraise the real and personal property within the county,
and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Little Rock be-
lieves that for the betterment of all concerned the property with-
in the county should be appraised and re-assessed by a profession-
al assessor,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of Little Rock, Arkansas
join with the County Assessor, the County Equalization Board,
the City of North Little Rock, Arkansas , Cammack Village, and
the members of the Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Pulaski
County School Boards in petitioning the County Court of Pulaski
County, Arkansas to employ the necessary qualified professional
appraisers under the provisions of Act 351 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of the State of Arkansas for 1949 for the pur-
pose of appraising and re-assessing all real and personal pro-
perty within Pulaski County, Arkansas .
SECTION 2. That the City of Little Rock will pay its pro
rata share of the costs therein incurred.
