3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH BEN NELSON GOLF AND
5 UTILITY VEHICLES FOR THE LEASING OF GOLF CARTS AND
6 RELATED EQUIPMENT FOR THE PERIOD OF ONE (1)-YEAR, WITH
7 AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL YEARS, IN THE
8 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND, NINE
9 HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR DOLLARS PER YEAR ($155,994.00), OR A
10 TOTAL OF FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, NINE
11 HUNDRED EIGHTY-TWO DOLLARS ($467,982.00) FOR THE THREE
12 (3)-YEAR PERIOD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

14 WHEREAS, Little Rock Parks and Recreation Golf Courses are in need of golf carts; and,
15 WHEREAS, after research and discussion, it was determined that the best solution was to lease the
16 golf carts; and,
17 WHEREAS, this approach has proven to be efficient, economical, and customer satisfaction has
18 increased; and,
19 WHEREAS, a competitive selection process determined that Ben Nelson Golf and Utility Vehicles
20 was the lowest responsible and responsive bidder for the leasing of such golf carts.
21 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a twelve (12)-month Lease Agreement with
24 Ben Nelson Golf and Utility Vehicles., with two (2), twelve (12)-month options to renew, for the leasing
25 of golf carts in the amount of One Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety-Four Dollars
26 ($155,994.00) per year, totaling Four Hundred Sixty-seven, Nine Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars
27 ($467,982.00) for three(3)years.
28 Section 2. Funds for this Lease are available from the Golf Enterprise Operating Budget.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions and other matters in conflict with this resolution are hereby
2 repealed to the extent of any consistency.
