3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN A LETTER
4 OF SUPPORT FOR IN-AFFORDABLE HOUSING, INC., TO APPLY FOR
5 HOME FUNDS FROM THE ARKANSAS DEVELOPMENT FINANCE
6 AUTHORITY IN ORDER TO CONSTRUCT TEN (10) SINGLE-FAMILY
7 DWELLINGS IN THE GREENWOOD ACRES SUBDIVISION IN THE
8 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,IN-Affordable Housing, Inc., has proposed to construct ten (10) single-family dwellings
11 in the Greenwood Acres Subdivision located off of Stagecoach Road in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, the applicant wishes to apply for HOME Funds from the Arkansas Development
14 Finance Authority to assist in the completion of the project; and
15 WHEREAS, the policy of the Board of Directors is for the Community Housing Advisory Board
16 (CHAB)to review such applications and make a recommendation to the Mayor and Board of Directors on
17 whether a letter of support should be signed by the Mayor to be submitted with the application; and
18 WHEREAS, the development where the applicant proposes to construct the homes is a mixed-
19 income subdivision that includes homes that were partially funded with HOME Funds obtained with the
20 assistance of the City in previous phases; and
21 WHEREAS, the CHAB met on December 17, 2012, and voted 5-2 to support the project as
22 submitted.
23 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
25 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign a letter of support of the
26 application of IN-Affordable Housing, Inc., for HOME Funds to assist in the construction of ten (10)
27 single-family dwellings in the Greenwood Acres Subdivision located in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
28 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
1 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
2 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
