HomeMy WebLinkAbout1799 RESOLUTION ,NO. 1799 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AN_J CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN EASEMENT ITH THE MISsoURI-PACIFIC RAILROAD COM- PANY GRANTING MISSOURI-PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY AN EASE- MENT OVER CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROPERTY. WHERE S, the Missouri-Pacific Railroad Company is desirous of purchasing raw water from the Little 'lock Municipal Water Works to be used for other purposes than for human consumption, and WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock Municipal Water Works for the Missouri-Pacific Railroad Company to purchase this water, NOW THEREFORE, B7 IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK: SECTION 1. The 'Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Little Rock are hereby authorized to enter into an easement deed or other a reement necessary in order to rive the Missouri-Pacific Railro d authority to construct a pipe line upon any city property contain- ed in the following description: Said pipe line to begin at I:`_unicipal Waterworks raw water connection an, proceed across and under the Municipal Water- works Filter and Purification Works property (for which authority already is granted) to the southwesterly property line of Cantrell Road-Lincoln Avenue (Arkansas State Highway Route No. 10) at a point in said line 201 feet distant south- easterly from and measured along, said line from the inter- secting north and south center line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 2 North Range 12 West; Thence Forth 36 degrees East, crossing directly under the concrete pav- ing of said thoroughfare, 68 feet more or less to a point 8 feet southwesterly from the northeasterly line of said ° thoroughfare, which line is also the southwesterly right of line of the Chicago-Rock Island and Pacific Railroad; Thence southeasterly, parallel to said thoroughfare, 1135 feet; Thence northeasterly, at right angles to last described course, 8 feet to point where said pipe line leaves the pro- perty to the thoroughfare and enters the right of way of the Chicano, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad, crossing under their main track at right angles (for which crossing and other occupancy of their right of way permit is arranged) a distance of 90 feet; thence southeasterly, parallel to and ust southwesterly from the southwesterly edge of the Old River-Pinnacle Road, 166 feet more or less to the intersect- ion with the line between the Southwest and the Southeast Quarters of said Section 33; thence continue southeasterly, parallel to the said road, 964 feet more or less to the south line of said Section 33 anu which is also the north line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 1 North, Range 12 West; Thence continue southeasterly, southwesterly from said road, 313 feet more or less to the center of Rose Bayou where the said pipe line enters the right of way of the Missouri-Pacific Railroad and continues thereupon to the point of discharge into the present li_ es of the Missou- ri-Pacific Railroad. SECTION 2. Said pipe line shall be of 14" water supply line, and shall be constructed at a depth sufficient so that further -2- construction over saia line will not be hampered, if such con- struction shall becone necessary.
