HomeMy WebLinkAbout1757 RESOLUTION 0. 1757 A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR A HEARING BY THIS COUNCIL OF A PETITION TO VACATE A PART OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 8, INTERCITY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH IVEETING ; AND FOR OTITER PURPOSES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby fixes the date of July 21 , 1947, at 8 o' clock P. M., or as soon thereafter as may be convenient for this Council to hear a petition to vacate a portion of the alley running north and south in Block 8, Inter- city Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of said alley with the South line of West 33rd Street in the City of Little Rock, Ark- ansas and extending along said alley in a southerly direction for a distance of 200 feet, being that portion of said alley that abuts on lots One (1) , Two (2) , Three (3) , Four (4) and Nine (9 ), Ten (10) , Eleven (11), and Twelve (12) , Block 8. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice in the manner provided by law, of the meeting fixed in Section one of this Resolution; such notice shall be given by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in Little Rock, Arkansas. Said notice shall state among any other things required by law, that E. Sidney Reid and Shirley Wynn Reid have filed a petition to vacate a portion of the alley running north and south through Block 8, Intercity Addition to Little Rock, Ark- ansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of said alley with the South line of West 33rd Street in the City of Little Rock, Ark- ansas and extending along said alley in a southerly direction for a distance of 200 feet, being that portion of said alley that abuts on lots One (1) , Two (2), Three (3) , Four ( 4) and Nine (9 ), Ten (10) , Eleven (11), and Twelve (12) , Block 8 and shall advise all persons that on July 21 , 1947, at 8:00 o, clock P. M. , or as soon thereafter as may be convenient to the Council, this Council will hear and determine whether said alley shall be vacated as requested in the petition.
