A RESOLUTIOY AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE PAYNAENT OF SALARY OF 1GT.
LOUIS W. ROSTICK WHILE ATT ENDIFG
NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY TRAFFIC IN-
STITUTION,
WHEREAS, Louis W. Rostick, now a Sargent of the Traffic
Bureau in the Police Department of the City of
` Little Rock, Arkansas , will attend the North-
western University Traffic Institution from the
2nd dsy of February, 1947, through the 18th day

of June, 1947 at his own expense in order that
he may become better able to perform his duties
in the Traffic Bureau of the Police Department
of the City of Little Rock, and,
WHEREAS, The Police Department of the City of Little Rock
will be benefited by the advance training which
Sgt. Rostick will receive at the Northwestern
University Traffic Institution, in that such
schooling will enable Sgt. Rostick to greatly
assist ingleviating the traffic problems now
,existing in the City of Little Rock,
NOW THEREFORE,
BF IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OT' THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK. ,
SECTION 1. That the proper city officials of
the City of Little Rock are hereby authorized and directed to con-
tinue the payment of the salary cf Sgt: Louis a. Rostick to which
he is entitled or to which he may hereafter be entitled while go-
ing to and from and while attending the Northwestern University
Traffic Institution.
S ;CTION 2. That propel, officials shall consider
said Sgt. Rostick on duty away from the City of Little Rock, while
attending such school, and while going to and from the above named
institution.
