RESOLUTION NO. 1721
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO
A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR A FRACTIONAL PART
OF BLOCK EIGHT (8) , WATKINS ADDITION,
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Whereas, Kelton R. Brown purposes to build,
construct and erect suitable f aci=' ities for a Municipal
Abattoir upon the land east of the right-of-way of
the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway, Block
Eight (8) , Watkins Addition in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas,and
Whereas, the construction and erection of
a Municipal Abattoir would greatly facilitate the
post-mortem and anti-mortem of inspection of such
animals and would insure sanitary meat products for
the citizens of Little Rock, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Little Rock are hereby authorized to
enter into a suitable lease agreement with Kelton
R. Brown leasing to the said Kelton R. Brown all the
land and property owned by the City of Little Rock
in Block Eight (8) , Watkins Addition to the City of
Little Rock lying east of the right-of-way of the
Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway in said block.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized to enter into this lease agreement upon
such terms and upon such conditions as they may deem
appropriate in order to provide a Municipal Abattoir
for the City of Little Rock.
