A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION OF H. A.
MASHBURN , BERTIE MASHBURN , JOHN C. HUDMAN , AN) CONNIE HUDMAN TO
CLOSE THAT PART OF 28TH STREET EAST'W'ARD TO ASHER AVENUE A DISTANCE
OF ABOUT 174 FEET.
WHEREAS , H. A. Mashburn , Bertie Mashburn, John C. Hudman , and
Connie Hudman , owners of all the property abutting that part of 23th
Street which extends from Cedar Street eastward to Asher Avenue in
Little Rock , Arkansas , a distance of about 174 feet , have filed with
this Council a petition to vacate said part of said street , and have
further filed the consent of all owners owning property in any way
affected by or located or abutting said streets sought to be closed;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK :
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the procedure set forth by Act 17
of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas for the
year 1945 , approved February 6 , 1945 , the City Clerk shall give notice
by publication once a week for two weeks in some newspaper published in
Pulaski County , Arkansas , advising all property owners who may be
affected by the proposed vacating or closing of said street , that the
City Council will hear the petition and determine whether said property
should be abandoned as a street , and that the notice shall be in sub-
stantially the following form :
"NOTICE OF A HEARING ON A PETITION TO AIANDON MAT PART OF 28TH
STREET WHICH EXTENDS FROM CEDAR STREET EASTWARD TO ASHER AVENUE
IN LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS , ABOUT A DISTANCE OF 174 FEET
Notice is hereby given that H. A. Mashburn , Bertie Mashburn ,
John C. Rudman , and Connie Hudman, owners of all property
abutting that part of 28th Street which extends from Cedar
Street eastward to Asher Avenue of about 174 feet have filed
with the City Council to abandon the portion of 28th Street
above described , and that the City g,guncil will hear this
petition and determine whether said should be abandoned
at a meeting to be held at 8 o 'clock p.m. on the 7th day of
October , 1946 , and at such meeting all property
owners rrlo are affected by the petition , or who are directly
interested in the matter are notified to be present and an
opportufity will be given to them to be heard.
