A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED CLOSING AND
ABANDONING OF A PART OF THE ALLEY IN THE SOCK BOUNDED BY WEST 15TH ,
WEST 16TH, ARCH AND GAINES STREETS , IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK , AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
WHEREAS , a petition was filed with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 10th day of December, 1945 ,
by the owners of all of the property in Block 214, Original City ,
bounded by West 15th , West 16th , Arch , and Gaines Streets in the
City of Little hock, praying that the Council vacate and abandon
part of the alley runnin g through said block 214 for a dis tan ce of
one foot on either side of the said alley so as to leave the said
alley a width of eighteen feet , instead of the claimed twenty feet;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the 7th day of January , 1946 , at S :00 o ' clock
p.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall , Little Rock , Arkansas , be
set as the time and place for public hearing on the petition of
property owners in Block 214, Original City , for vacating and
abandoning a part of the alley running through said Block 214 , for
a distance of one foot on either side of the said alley so as to
leave the said alley a width of eighteen fret , instead of the claimed
twenty feet.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be authorized and directed to
publish a notice advising all interested persons of said hearing ,
and tIa.t on the day named in the notice the Council will determine
whether or not the said portion of said alley should be vacated.
