A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF PAUL JACKSON PICKENS
AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF WATERWOR} COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Willis W. Johnson, Sr. and Hugo W. Norvell ,
the remaining members of the Boar d of Water Viorks Commissioners
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, have appointed Paul Jack-
son Pickens to fill the office from which T. J. Gay is retiring
as a Commissioner, subject to the approval of this Council ,
and
WHEREAS , it is required by law that the City Coun-
cil approve said appointment by the affirmative vote of two-
thirds of the duly elected and qualified members of the City
Council; NOW, THEREFORE :
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That Paul Jackson Pickens be , and is here-
by approved as a member of the Board of Waterworks Commissioners
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , his termto begin upon
his qualifying in accordance with law for said position, and
to expire on October 31, 1953.
