HomeMy WebLinkAbout1678 RESOLUTION NU. 1678 A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION OF WILLIAM MARY BREWER TO CLOSE THE ALLEY AS PLATTED IN BLOCK NINE OF C. 0. BRACK' S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; DIRECTING THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE THEREOF; AND FUR OTHER PURPOSES, WHEREAS, Miss William Mary Brewer, the owner of all of Block 9 of C. 0. Brack ' s Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has filed with this Council a petition to vacate the alley running north and south in said Block 9, showing that she owns all of said Block 9 and therefore is the owner of all property abutting cn the alley sought to be closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That pursuant to the procedure set out in Act 311 of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas for the year 1941, approved March 26, 1941 , the City Clerk shall give notice by publication once a week for two weeks in some newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas , advising all property owners who may be affected by the proposed vacating or closing of said alley that the City Council will hear the petition and determine whether said property should be abandoned as an alley, and that the said notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF A HEARING UN A P-TITION TO ABANDON THE ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH IN BLOCK 9 OF C. 0. BRACK ' S ADDITION TU THE CITY OF LITTLE RUCK, ARKANSAS Notice is hereby given that Willima Mary Brewer, as owner of all of Block 9 of C. 0. Brack ' s Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has filed with the City Council a petition to abandon the north and south alley running through said block, and that the City Council will hear this petition and determine whether said alley should be abandoned at a meeting to be held at 8: 00 p.m. on the 7th day of May, 1945, and at such meeting all property owners who are affected by the petition or who are directly interested in the matter are notified to be present and an opportunity will be given to them to be heard.
