A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT SHALL BEAR THE NAME "ADAMS FIELD" : DESIGNATING A DAY FOR THE DEDICATION OF THE AIRPORT AS "ADAMS FIELD" : AUTHORIZING THE AIRPORT COMMITTEE OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO MAKE PLANS AND PREPARATIONS FOR THE DEDICATION AID FOR OTHER PURPOSES . BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS : Section 1. The Little Rock Municipal Airport shall henceforth be known and designated as "Adams Field" in honor of the late Captain George G. Adams of the 154th Observation Squadron. Captain Adams, a former Alderman and member of this Council,was one of the outstanding figures in the State of Arkansas in the field of Aviation and to him, for his efforts, the City of Little Rock is deeply grateful. Section 2. Armistice Day, November 11, 1941, is hereby designated as the day for the dedication of the Little Rock Municipal Airport as "Adams Field" . Section 3. The Airport Committee of the City Council is hereby authorized and directed to make such plans and preparations as necessary to properly honor the occas4ion of the dedication of the Airport as "Adams Field" .
