WHEREAS , the Honorable Tom Gulley, Alderman for the
Fourth Ward of the City of Little Rock, has resigned from
the Little Rock City Council,
WHEREAS , said resignation has been accepted by the
Little Rock City Council,
WHEREAS, there is now a vacancy in the membership of
the Little Rock City Council , caused by said resignation,
WHEREAS, it is important that this vacancy be filled
in order thtt the work of the Little Rock City Council may
be furtheyd and expedited.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE
ROCK,/ARKANSAS :

Section 1. The resignation of Honorable Tom Gulley,
Alderman of the Fourth Ward, has caused a vacancy in the
membership of the Little Rock City Council which should be
filled by the election of an Alderman from the Fourth Ward.
Section 2 . A special election to fill said vacancy is
hereby called and set for Tuesday, July 1 , 1941, at which
time said vacancy shall be filled in the manner provided by
law.
Section 3. The City Clerk of Little Rock, Arkansas, is
hereby requested to deliver to the Pulaski County Board of
Election Commissioners a certified copy of this resolution,
so that the election may be held by said Board of Election
Commissioners in the manner provided by law.
