George Geyer Adams of the 154th Cbservation Squadron , Arkansas
National Guard, was in line of duty; and,
_ ;.JAS, Captain Adams had served his country in time
of agar, his state, as National Guard officer, in time of peace,
and his city, as alderman from the seventh ward, for many years;
and,
:N .i;h: AS, Captain Adams took an active interest in
aviation, and was chairman of the City Council Airport 2ommittee,
end worked tirelessly and faithfully to achieve for the city
of Little bock an outstanding airport ; and,
'::'HEREAS, his services can be appropriately recognized
by naming the Municipal Airport in his honor,
NOS, THEREFORE, BE IT RSCCLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LITTLC t: C ., ARKANSAS,
That from and after the adoption of this resolution,
the Little izock Municipal Airport shall be kno ,n as "Adams
Field" in memory of the late Captain George Geyer Adams.
