IN MEMORIAM TO THE; LATE 'ii'ILLIAM 11. HE"NSON, DEC'EASED
I dIlliam R. Henson was born ::`arch 9. 1893 at 11rattsville,
Irkansas and received his education In that County; and,
On 14arch 19, 1921, Mr. Henson joined the 4-olice Department
of the City of Little -,, I ock as a probationary patrolman and was
rapidly promoted until he reached the position of detective
sergeant in "eptember, 1923.

while residing at 1615
28th Street In the City of Little �.ock and while he was a mem-
ber of the Little Rock Detective Force.
Yr. Henson ,vas a membor of the 'estern "-')tar Lodge,, F. and
Masons,
Mr. Henson Is survived by his vvidow; three daughters.,
zabeth, Louise and Marietta; two sons. illiam Jr., and Guice;

five brothers, Patrolman "corge, J. D., Clyde, Claude and rnest
Henson; four disters, Mrs. L. Hendricks, IMIrs. Louis Crachot, 4'rs.
Jack.Massery and Vr4. J. I.T. Welch, all of Little Rock; and one
aunt, `ors. Lelia Kendall, also of Little Rock
Possessed of a strong body and an excellent personality, Mr.
Henson had a splendid quality of making himself clearly understood
In a language acceptable to ill. He made a favorable impression
upon all persons with whom he dealt.
As an officer of the -Ity of Little -,'rock his integrity
undoubted and his coupe undaunted at all times. Ye established
for himself the reputation of being one of the most fearless and
valuable peace officers in the South. His loyalty and generosity
In his friendships, and his freedom from deceit In all of his
dealings brought to him friends ,whose attachment-- -w,;ere lasting$
loyal and unwavering.

�.!r. lienson's relationshl,r. with his lmme(,iate fatally, and to
each of his relatives, were considerate and affectionate to a
most unusual degree, and his untimely death has brought a weiFht
of sorrow to each of them that we all respectfully bow before
I and sincerely hope that the passing years will tend to alleviate.

THEREFORE, BEE IT RESOLVIZ that in the death of illlam R.
Hanson, the State of Arkansas lost one of its most patriotic
citizens; that the City of Little Rock has lost one of its most
honorable and efficient officers; that his .rife hois lost a kind,
considerate and affectionate husband; that his relatives have
lost a dutiful and affectionate brother; that h1s great host of
friends have lost a most kindly and considerate memb,-.r of their
circle; and that our herartfelt sympathy i:5 extended to each of
them In their great bereavement,
