RESOLUTION CONFERRING SPECIAL POLICE AUTHORITY TO
MARKET INSPECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, The City Council of Little Rock has by terms of
Ordinance No. 5279 authorized the inspection of all produce sold
within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and provided for the appoint-
ment of Inspectors to check and inspect such produce to determine
whether or not same meets the health requirements and is in conformity
with the terms of said ordinance; and,
JA1HFREAS, In proper exercise of the duties imposed upon the
Inspectors appointed pursuant to the terms of said ordinance it will
be necessary for them to snake inspections, a rrests, and investigat-
ions; and,
WHEREAS, In order to properly carry out such duties the
said Inspectors should have police authority;
Novi, Therefore, . ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS
That all Inspectors properly appointed under the terms of
the said Ordinance No. 5279 shall possess full police authority under
the supervision of the Chief of Police.
