HomeMy WebLinkAbout1322RESOLUTION NO.1322 . +HEREAS The City of Little Rock h s h 4 a d wring t e year 193 paid warrants which were outstanding as of Januar 1, 1934, in a sum to exceed Forty -nine Thousand Dollars ($49'000.00} of the floating debt; and, 'WiHEREAS, Though operating expenses are safely within income for the fiscal year, it is necessary, in order to meet payrolls for City employees for the months of November and December, 1534, to finance accounts owed and to be owed by the City of Little Rocs, to its creditors for the months of September, October, November, and December, 1934; and WHEREAS, The Little Rock Gas & Fuel Company, the Arkansaw ',rater Company, and the Arkansas Power & Light Company have and will have owing to them bills for gas service, water service, and electric service for the months of Sewotember, October, November, and December of 1934• NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to issue warrants of the City of Little Rock to the Little Rock Gas & Fuel Company, the Arkansaw Water Company, and tae Arkansas Power & Light Company in the following manner: A warrant dated October 20 for the September, 1934, bill. A warrant dated November 20 for the October, 1934, bill. A warrant dated December 20 for the November, 1934, bill. A warrant dated January 20,1535, for the December,1934, bill. A carrying charge shall be paid upon each warrant at the rate of 61% per annum from date of each until paid. This carrying charge shall be paid monthly. All of said warrants shall be due on or before July 15, 1935, as noted on the face of each warrant: and Be It Further Resolved that the Little Rock Gas & Fuel Company, the Arkansaw Water Company, and the Arkansas Power & Light Company be allowed to use any amount allowed by law of these warrants in payment of the city ad valorem tax and all carrying charges on any amount so used in this manner shall stop upon the date of use of same. Be It Further Resolved that all of said warrants shall on or before July 15, 1935, be paid from and out of moneys collected by the Sheriff and Collector of Pulaski County to the credit of the City of Little Rock 5 -mill ad valorem tax fund.
