inclusive, 30475 to 30479, inclusive, 30664 to 30668, V, inclusive,
30530 to 30534; inclusive,
inclusive, 30620; 30645 to
30798 to 30868, inclusive,
inclusive, 30449 to 30453,{

of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) and all of said warrants maturing
July 9, 1920; and,
°hereas, the holders of said warrants have requested
their reissue to R. G. Helbron, of - ,ittle Rock, Arkansas, but payable
to bearer; and,
Whereas, this council has carefully investigated the
validity and the amount of the indebtedness for which each of said
warrants was issued; and,

P1, ' T=EFORE, It is hereby ascertained and declared
that said warm s are valid and existing obligations of said city,

and therefore:
BE IT ORD.LIIEI� BY THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. That said warrants, hereinbefore described,
shall be filed with the City Clerk and by him plainly canceled by
perforation and-kept in his file, and that in lieu thereof the City
of Little Rock, by its dayor and City Clerk, as President and Clerk
of the City Council, issue to the said R. G. Helbron warrants of
the City of Little Rock to the amount of $351,000.00 in renewal
thereof. Said currants shall be made payable to the bearer at the
Union Trust Company, in the City of Chicago, Illinois, on the 9th
day of July, 1921, and they shall have all the attributes of nego-
tiable paper and shall be in the denomination of One Thousand Dollars
($1,000.00) each.
SECTION 2. Said warrants shall be in the following form:

On the 9th day of July, 1921, the treasurer of the City
of Little Rock, in the State of Arkansas, will pay to bearer at the
Union 'gust Company in the City of Chicago the sum of One Thousand
Dollars in lawful money of the United States, out of any money in
his hands belonging to the general fund.
.his warrant is issued to fund another warrant of said
city which has been presented to the City Council of the said City
of little Rock by the holder ',hereof, and reissuance thereof re-
quested in pursuance of the provisions of Act Eo. 383 of the General
Assembly of the State of Arkansas for the year 1917, entitled "An
Act authorizing cities in Arkansas having a population of 40,000 or
over, to refund their city warrants ", the said warrant in lieu of
which this warrant is issued having been carefully investigated by
the City Council of the said city, and it having ascertained and de-
clared the validity and amount of the indebtedness due upon_ the warrant
in lieu of which this warrant is issued, and the warrant in lieu of
which this warrant is issued has been filed with the City Clerk and
by him plainly, canceled by perforation and kept in his files; and it
is hereby recited and covenanted with the holder of this warrant that
this warrant has been duly issued in accordance with the act aforesaid,
and that the ordinance ordering the issue of this warrant has the
force and effect of a judgment, establishing the validity of the claim
for which this warrant is issued, and that this warrant evidences a
valid indebtedness of the City of :little Rock for the amount thereof,
and that it is not open to question at law or in equity; and to the
payment of this warrant the full faith, credit and resources of said
city are irrevocably pledged.
IN IT ESS NIEREOF, The City of - ittle Rock has executed
this warrant under the hand of its Mayor and caused the same to be at-
tested by its corporate seal and the signature of its Clerk, on this
9th day of July, 1920.
