`,+hereas, a majority in value of the property ovrners owning prop-
erty adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within Street
Improvement District Igo. 278 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, or-
ganized for the purpose of making local improvements therein by grading
and paving the streets set out in their petition, have petitioned the
City Council of the City of Tittle Rock for the construction of said
improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real
property within said district, according to benefits received; and,
Nhereas, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and
parcel of real property situs.ted within $aid district equals or exceeds
the local assessment thereon; and,
.,hereas, the estimated cost of said improvement is $35,543.75:
T_HEREFORE,BE IT ORDAI.11ED BY THE CITY COUINICI:5 OF THE CI'.'Y OF _ _jITT:lE ROCK:
Section 1. That the several blocks, lots and parcels of real
property within said Street Improvement District No. 278 be and they are
hereby assessed according to the assessment list as the same now remains
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Tittle Rock and as the same
may be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that ten per
centum of said assessment of the value of the benefits of each of said
blocks, lots and parcels of land shall be paid annually on or before the
r
day of of each year until the whole of said assessment
shall have been paid.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinezlce shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
