ORDINANCE NO, 2764.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDE 1A:,n: 014 T'HE
WEST SIDE OF ASH STREET, BE i W EEN PROSPECT AVENUE ADD FUL .•ER
STREET, AND FOR OTHER PURI DOSES .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO UNC I IJ OF THE CITY OF --lI TTI,E ROCK
Section 1. That the owner or owners of any real proper-
ty abutting upon the west side of fish Street, from Prospect Lvenu
to Fuller Street, 'be and they are hereby required to build, withi
sixty days from the passage of this ordinance, and to maintain,
a sidewalk and curbing along such property where the same abuts
upon the above street between the points named, of the kind and
material and of the specifications now required by city ordi-
nance, and subject to the inspection and acceptance of the City
Engineer.
Section 2. It shall be the duty of the City rngi�,eer,
if the grade for said walks and curbing has not heretofore been
established or given to said property owners, to furnish to each
property owner, or said owner's agent, or the tenant occupying
said premises, within ten days from the date of the passage of
this ordinance, the grade to w,rhich said sidewalks and curbing
shall be laid.
Section 3. `'he failure or refusal of any of the owners
of said property to comply with the provisions of this ordinance
within the time specified shall be deemed a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof in the Municipal Court, said owner or
owners shall be fined ii., any sum not less than 425.00 nor more
than I;50.00, and each day of such failure or refusal after the

expiration of said sixty -day period stall constitute a separate of
Tense and shall be punished accordingly.
Section 4. rill ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are .hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
