AN ORDI1.'. CE ANNE"'ING A CERTAIN PORTION, HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED, OF THE CITY OF I.ITTIE ROCK TO STREET IMPROVE -
LENT DISTRICT 110. 296.
+Jhereas, persons claiming to be a majority in value of
the owners of real property within the territory hereinafter de-
scribed, which property adjoins Street Improvement District il'o.
296 of - ittle Rock., Arkans�-_ s, a duly created and existing improve-
r
ment district in s -_.id City, desire to be added to and included in
said improvement district, and have filed a petition with the City
Council of ittle loch praying that _-2 id. territory be annexed to
said improvement district and have designated the nature of the
improvement to be undertaken, and have described the territory to
be annexed, and
Jhereas, the City Council has directed the City Clerk to
publish for two weeks in some newspaper issued and 'having a general
circulation in Pulaski County a notice calling upon the property
olaners within said territory to appear before this Council on this
day and show cause for or agL.inst such annexation, and
:Jhereas, such notice has been duly published and this is
the time fixed in said notice for the hearing to determine whether

.7here2s, this Council has heard all persons who desire to

be heard upon the question of whether the signers of said petition
constitute a m2 jority in value of the oviners of real property with-
in said territory sought to be annexed.
TaiRIE'ORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTIO11 1: That this Council has ascertained that the
signers of the petition to annex the property hereinafter describ-
ed to Street Improvement District 11o. 296 of the City of little
Rock, ,Irra.n8as, constitute a majority in value of the owners of
real property within the, territory sought to be annexed, and
that said petition for the annexation of said

territory is in due form and properly signed by a majority of
the owners of real property as required by law.
SECTION 2: That lots 1,2,3 4,5 and 6 of Bloch 6, and
lots 7, 5, 9, 1G, 11 and 12 of Block 11 all in rimball's South Parr_
Addition to the City of little Rock, Arkansas be and they are
hereby added to and annexed to Street Improvement District io.
296 of little ^ 'lock, and are a part of said improvement district,
and the commissioners of said district shall proceed to make the
improvements petitioned for by grading and paving Gaines Street'
from the forth property line of `;lest Thirtieth Street to the
1,orth property line of :'Test Thirty-first Street in the same man-
ner and with the same materials and according to the same plans
and specifications that have been adopted or may hereafter be
adopted by them for said Street Improvement District Igo. 296.
SECTION 3: That the commissioners shall make the as-
sessr..ents of benefits for said improvement on the lots in the
.territory to be annexed on the same basis as if said territory
was included in the original district and shall file said as-
sessment with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage, and the City Clerl. is here-
by
ordered
within tvienty days
after the passage
of
this
ordinance
to
publish
the same in some newspaper
published
in
the
City of
Little mock for one insertion.
