ITHEREAS, a majority in value of the property own - ers owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within Street Improvement District Teo. 288 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of ma < >ing local improvements therein by doing the necessary draining and paving with asphaltic concrete, bitulithic as- phalt, sheet asphalt or with such other materials and in such manner as the commissioners of said district shall determine to be for the best interests of the district, the street set out in their petition, have petitioned the City Council of Little Rock for the construction of said improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property with- in said district according to benefits received; and WHERE.�S, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated within said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and "WHERE'AS, the estimated cost of said improvement is X50,000.00; THEREFORE, IT IS NOVI ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROC:, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: That the said several blocks, lots and parcels of real property within said Street Improvement Dis- trict No. 288 be, and they are hereby, assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same I* -2- now remains'in the office of the City Clerk of the City of little Rock, and as the same my be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that ten per centum (10;0) of said assessment of the value of the benefits of each of said blocks, lots and parcels of land shall.be paid annually on or before the 15th day of April of each year until the whole of said assessment shall have been paid. The first annual payment shell be made on or before the 15th day of April, 1921. SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordi- nances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
