PULASKI COUNTY CIRCUIT/COUNTY CLERK RESOLUTION NO. 13,673 Fees $20.00 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY FROM THE TRAYLOR CHILDREN'S TRUST FOR UTILIZATION AS ADDITIONAL SPACE FOR THE DAY RESOURCE CENTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas ( "the City"), has determined that it needs to address the issue of homelessness within the community; and, WHEREAS, the City has determined through the development of the Ten (10) -Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness, that the creation of a Day Resource Center is crucial to meeting this objective; and, WHEREAS, the City has worked with various community groups and service providers to identify a location to be used as a Day Resource Center; and, WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in the best interests of the homeless community to acquire a vacant lot that is adjoining Day Resource Center facilities to allow for outdoor recreational and dining facilities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized to enter into a contractual agreement with the Traylor Children's Trust to acquire, through purchase all or part of the property generally located at 1021 East 30`h Street, Little Rock, Arkansas ( "the Property"). Section 2. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized to expend up to Twenty-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Ten Dollars ($29,910.00), plus any necessary costs, for the acquisition of the Property. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the ordinance. Section 4. Repealer.
