BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
That the Superintendent of Public Works shall charge for
each permit issued under the terms of this ordinance, to be
collected by the City Collector as follows:
BUI1,DI1, G PETITS
For all buildings over the entire city, other than resi-
dences and outhouses, for the first 42,000, fee 4 b.00. For
every additional 41,000 or portion thereof, 4 1.00 to be added
to the above.
For repair v ork on all buildings, other than residences
over the entire city the fee shall be as follows; qp1.00 to
410.00, no permit required; 410.00 to $400.00, the fee shall
be $1.00; 4400.00 and over the fee shall be the sa.mv as for
new work.
For residences over the entire city the fee shall be as
follows; 41.00, for the first 01,000 or fraction thereof, and
50 cents for each addit icrlal 41,000.
Fort repair work on residences over the entire city the
fee shall be as follows; 41.00 to X50.00, no permit required;
440.00 to .400.00, the fee shall be 41.00; :40('.00 and over,
the fee shall be as above for new work.
SIDEWALKS OF: CURBING.
For sidewalks or curbing the fee shall be as follows; first
50 feet, 03.00 and three cents per lineal foot for all over 50
feet. For the construction under the se.me contract and at the
same time of both curbing and sidewalks adjoining the same
property only one charge shall be made. For repairs on walks,
constructionl of driveways, etc., the fee shall be 01.00.
EXCAVATIONS.
Excavations in street, sidewalks or alleys, the fee shall
be as follows; first 50 feet, 41.00. �1.00 for each additional
100 feet or fraction thereof. When the excavation is in the
sidewalk and parallel to curb, the trench must be excavated two
feet from the nearest edge of the curb.
Si GNS .
Cloth Signs. Cloth signs shall not extend over any side-
walk, street or alley, nor shall more than one cloth sign be
placed on any one building at the same time. Cloth signs shall
not exceed 6 feet in width.
Permits for all framed cloth signs over 25 feet long and
3 feet wide shall be $1.00 for permit and 01.00 for inspection
of erection.
ELECTRIC SIG14S.
Electric signs hanging an d edxtend ing over any sidewalk, street

tion and erection $3.00
REFLECTOR AND TRANSPARENT SIGNS.
Reflector and transparent signs shall not be erected with-
in the limits of the follow ing districts; between Scott and
Broadway Street. and Ninth Street and the Arkansas River. Re-
flector signs shall not exceed 4 feet in w idth and 6 feet in
length. Transparent signs shall not exceed 3 feet in width and
5 feet in length. Fee for permit $1.00, fee for inspection $1.00.
SWINGING OR CAED SIGNS.
Nwinging or card signs shall not exceed 20 x;50 inches and
shall not be less than 8 feet in the clear above the sidewalk.
The hanging or placirF of any sign orl or near any post, on
the curb of any street, is hereby prohibited, and repairing or
rehanging of any such signs that are at present located on or
near the curb line and hanging from or supported by a post is
hereby prohibited.
FRAMED LE TAL SIGNS.
Framed metal si gns against buildings shall not exceed 4
:feet in width. Fee for permit $1.00, fee for inspection $ 1.00.

BILL AND POSTER BOARDS.
Bill and poster boards shall be erected according to the
plans and specifications of the Poster Advertising Association,
except that the sign surfacO. shall not exceed 12 feet in height,
and double deck boards are hereafter pr ohib itdd. Fee for per-
mit 01.00, fee for change of location bO cents.
No sign, billboard, poster or advertising matter whatso-
ever shall be placed on any fence, building, post box, shed, en-
closure or barricade not constructed especially for that pur-
pose, except that contractors and furnishers may erect a sign
on new construction work, advertising their own business, said
sign not to exceed 24 x 30 inches.
DRUM SIGNS.
Drum signs around corners shall not extend over 10 inches
from building.
SEVERS.
Sever tapping 43.00 each. Plumber furnishes everything.

No person, firm or corporation shall connect electric
wires to or furnish electricity for the illumination of electric
signs suspended over any street, sidewalk or alley, or on the
face or side of any building in. this city until they have re-
ceived a certificate of approval of erection and inspection from
the Superintendent of Public Norks.
Sandwitch or self supporting signs or bulletins on any
street, sidewalk or alley of this city, are hereby prohibited.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any
provision of this ordinance or who shall fa. i 1 to comply with
any of its requirements shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
be subject to a fine of not less than 45.00 nor more than � 25.00
for each offense and each and every dayls continuance of viola-
tion of this ordinance whall be deemed a separate offense.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances insofar as they
comflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance to be
in full force and effect from and after its passage.
