An Ordinance for the Better Health and Safety of the Citizens of
Little Rock, Preventing Smoking in or Spitting on the'Nalls,
Seats or Floors of any Opera House, Theater, Loving Picture
House or Auditorium in which any Public Performance is
being given, or upon Public Vehicles, and for other
purposes.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock:
Section 1. That from and after the date of the passage of
this ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
smoke in ar.�r portion of any opera house, theater, moving picture
house, or any auditorium in which any public exhibition is being
given.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons
to expectorate or spit on the floors, seats, walls or other por-
tions of anir opera house, theater, moving picture house, auditorium
or other public place of assemblage in the City of Little Roch., or
upon the floors, seats, walls or other portions of any street car,
taxicab, jitney bus, or other vehicle used in public service.
Section 3. Each and every violation of this ordinance shall
constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not
less than $10.00 nor more than $50.00.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage.
