rdinance GrantinL, to Ike E'empner the Right to Construct a
Line of Sewer Through docks 84 and 85, City' of Little Rock,
and for other 1_)ur�)oses.

Section 1. The privilege is hereby granted. to Ike
Er iempner, his heirs and assigns, to construct and maintain, for the
period of this fr €t.nchise, at his and their own expense, a line of
sewer main through Blocks 84 and 85, City of Little Roc'!.-, €end
across Capitol venue, said sewer main to run in or as near the
alleys, or what was formerly the alleys , in said blocks as possi-
ble.
Said sewer main shEll be constructed by

the said Ike .empner under the direction and supervision, and ac-
cording to such plans and specifications as may be provided by,
the City Engineer of the City of Little Rock. lrovided, however,
such right -of -way therefor as may be necessary over private prop-
erty shall be secured by the said Ike Lempner, his heirs and as-
signs, at his and their own expense.
Section 2. The said Ikel'empner shall construct
said sewer, paying all the expenses thereof, and shall properly
maintain the same for the period of this franchise, and the said
Ike i empner, his heirs Gnd assigns, are hereby granted., for s,.il
,ueriod, the exclusive control of said. sewer lines hereby author-
ized to be constructed, and he and they a.re hereby authorized. to
permit or prevent connections therewith by -my person, firm or
corporation except upon the terms and conditions herein specified.
Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation being
the owner of and,- lot or lots of land adjacent or accessible to the
said sever main is hereby permitted to form a connection with said

min upon the payment to the City Collector of the City of little
Rock, for the account of the said Ike r-empner, his heirs and as-
suns, of a sum not exceeding A100.00 for each and every connec-
tion.
:section 4. _-:err.:its shall be issued to no person, firm
or corporation by either the City Engineer or an�T official or
department of the City of Little Rock, unless the fees and
charges above set out have been previously paid to the City Col-
lector.
erection 5. Regular settlement shall be made by the
City Collector with the said Ike rempner, his heirs or assigns,
every sip months, arid such amounts as have been collected for the
account of the said Ike Lempner shall at such settlement - ueriods
be maid over to him, his heirs or assigns.
Section b. The period of this franchise shall be
years, and any and all right, title or interest of the
said Ike rempner, or his heirs, or his assigns, or anyone either
claiming or holding under him or them, shall cea�se and terminate

at the expiration 9f years from the date of the passage
of this ordinance, an said sewer main, and all t'"le right, title
and interest of ally of said parties shall at that time )ass to
the City of Kittle dock.
Section 7. All ordinances arid parts of ordinances in
conylict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance she -_11
ij be in lull force and effect from «nd after its passage.
