j t An ordinance renewing and amending Ordinance
No. 2037 of the city of Little _-lock, passed on January
59 1914, and entitled: "An ordinance entering into a con-

tract with E. "'. Jackson and C. C. Kavan - -ugh, trustees,
to hold for the use and benefit of a corporation to be
organized by them under the laws of the St ^te of Arkan-
sas, and to be known and designated as the Inter -City
Terminal Railway Company, to construct, maintain and oper-
ate a line of street railway on, over and along that part
the
of the bridge known as,Pulaski County free bridge, and the

'approaches thereto, lying and being situated in the cit�r of
Kittle Rock, and certain streets of said city, and to grant
C� to said Inter -City Terminal Railway Company the right and
privileges to use that part of the said bridge and the ap-
proaches thereto, located in the said city as aforesaid,
j and that part of :ruin Street in the city of Little Rock
lying between and extending from the middle of Markham
street, subject to the existing rights of such corporation
in said Markham street as may now have the right of tray for
a street railway in said street in a northerly direction
with said Main street, over and upon the said Pulaski county
free bridge and approaches thereto, to the boundary line be-
tKeen the cities of Argenta. and Little Rock; and by and with �
the consent of the city, the right to make connection with
and pass over any track or tracks of such corporation in
the city of Little mock as may now have, or hereafter ac-
quire, the right of way for a street railway in the city of
Little Hock in accordance with such terms and conditions as
may be agreed upon by the Inter -Cityy Terminal Railway Company
and the corporation having the right aforesaid, under such

rules and regulations as now are or may hereafter be pre-
scribed by law for the operation of the cars of the said
Inter -City Terminal Railway Comp any over said connections
and tracks, for the purpose of constructing, maintaining
and operating said line of railway ti-lereon, for a period
of fifty (50) years from and after the approval of this
ordinance ", and also amending Ordinance No. 2168 of the
city of little Pock, passed March 22, 1915, and entitled,
"An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2037 of the city of
little Rock ", etc., amendatory of said Ordinance No. 2037,
so as to extend the time granted to E. "I. Jackson and C.C.
Kavanaugh, trustees, for the use and benefit of the Inter -
City Terminal Railway Company, and to the said Inter -City
Terminal Railway Company, the corporation referred to in
said Ordinances Nos. 2037 and 2168, which has now been
organized under the laws of the state of Arkansas, in which
to begin actual and active construction of its tracks be-
tween Little Rock and Argenta, until two (2) years from the
date of the pass age of this ordinance, and to extend the time
in which they shall complete the line between said cities
and shall have the same in operation until four (4) years
from the date of the passage of this ordinance.
Be it Ordained by the City Council of t1ie City
of little Rock:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 2037 of the city
of Little Rock, passed on January 5, 1914, and entitled,
"An ordinance entering into a. contract ,rith E. W. Jackson
and C. C. Kavanaugh, trustees, to hold for the use and
benefit of a cor-aoration to be organized by them under the
laws of the state of Ark .nsas, and to be Imown and desig-

nated as the Inter -City Terminal Railway Company, to con-
struct, maintain and operate a line of street rail,iay on,
over and along that part of the bridge known as the Pulaski
county free bridge, and approaches thereto, lying and being
situated in the city of Little Rook, and certain streets
of said city, and to grant to said Inter -City Terminal Rail -
way Company the rights and privileges to use that part of
the said bridge and the approaches thereto, located in the
said city as aforesaid, and that part of Vain street in the
city of Little hock lying between and eXtending from the
middle of Markham street, subject to the existing rights of
such corporation in said Markham street as may now have the
right of way for a street railway in said. street in a north-
erly direction with said Main street, over and upon the said
Pulaski county free bridge and approaches tln�ereto, to the
boundary line between the cities of rgenta and Little Rock;
and by and with the consent of the city, the right to make

hereafter acquire, the right of way for a street railway in
the city of Little Rock in accordance with such terms and
conditions as may be agreed upon by the Inter -U'ity Terminal
Railway Company, and the corporation having the -right afore-
said, under such rules and regulations as are now, or may
hereafter be prescribed by law for the operation of the
oars of said Inter -City Terminal Railway Company over said
connections and tr €Leks, for the purpose of constructing,
maintaining and operating said line of railway thereon, for
a period of fifty (50) years from and after the approval of
this ordinance," be, and the ssne is hereby, renewed and

things affirmed, excel-t as amended by this ordinance.
Section 2. , That the-time given in sal d 2rdinance

gin actual and active construction of its tracks between
Little Nock and iirge _ta, be, and the same is hereby, extend-
ed until two (2) `-ears from the date of the passage of this
ordinance; @--,A that the time given in said ordinance to said
Inter -City 7ermir.�al Railvigy Company in which it sr.all com-
plete the line between said cities and shall have the same
in operation, be, and the same is hereby, extended until
four (4) years from the date of the passage of tr is ordi-
nance, provided, that said compayW. shall comply with all
the other terms and conditions set forth in said Ordinance
i4o. 2037, a nd shall furnish to tl e cit, a bond in the sum
of Your Thousand Dollars (44000.00) , to be approved by the
mayor, conditioned upon the faithful performance of urdinance
No. 2037, as imended by ordinance No. 2166 a,xl Ordinance
No. 2352 and by this ordinance.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in force
and take effect from anc?_ after its passage and the furnishing
of the above bond, and that all ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby re-
pealed. r
