AN OIUINANCE TO DEFINE AM REGULATE Z,A110E MALLS,

DDING THE FREQUENTING OF DANCE HALLS BY IIINORS,
PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR, AND F02 OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIT'LE ROCK:
Section 1. Any house, hall, pavilion or other place in
which dancing is permitted for hire, profit or gain shall be and
the same is hereby declared a dance house within the meaning of
section 7529 of Crawford and I- loses' Digest of the statutes of
Arkansas.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any owner, manager or
other persons conducting or aiding in the conduct of any dance
in such dance house'to permit any known immoral person to enter
and remain or otherwise take part in such dance.
Section 3. It shall be unlawful for any such owner or
manager or any parent or guardian to permit a minor under the age
of eighteen years to enter and remain or otherwise take part in

Section 4. Nothing in this ordinance shall apply to any one
giving private dance instructions to a private class of dance
pupils.
Section 5. Any minor,A °"_ - " °- -- _ - , who
shall attend said dance, frequent or remain in said dance house,
shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this ordinance and upon
conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than Five Dollars
nor more than Twenty -five Dollars for each offense.
Section 6. An y person vio]d ting any provision of this ordi-
nance shall upon conviction be fined not less than Five Dollars
nor more than One Hundred Dollars and shall be imprisoned not to
exceed thirty days.
Section 7, This 6rdinance being necessary for the protection
of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
