An Ordinance Laying Off a Certain Portion of the City of Little Rock Into a Local Improvement District and Designating the Boundaries Thereof, Said District to be Known as Seaver Improvement Dis- trict No. 93 , and for other purposes. Whereas, more than ten owners of real property within the bounda- ries hereinafter mentioned have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to take steps toward the making of local im- provements therein, by constructing a system of sewers to be located and constructed in the places and in the manner and of the materials that the commissioners for said district shall deem for the best interests of said district; conditioned, however, that said improvement may equal but shall not exceed in cost forty per cent of the value of the real property in said district, as shown by the last county assessment, not including inter- est on borrowed money; Now, Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCY: Section 1. That Sewer District No. 93 of the City of Little Rock be and the same is hereby created, laid out and established, for the purpose of constructing a system of sewers, to be located and constructed in the places and in the manner and of the materials that the commissioners for said district shall deem for the beat interests of said district; con- ditioned, however, that said improvement may equal but shall not emceed in cost forty per cent of the value of the real property in said district, as shown by the last county assessment, not including interest on borrowed money, all in accordance with an act of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas, entitled: "An Act to Regulate the Danner of Assessing Real rroperty for Local Improvements`ln Cities of the first Class ", approved Larch 22, 1881, and amendments thereto. Section 2. The property to'�e included in said district shall be all that property lying within the following, described boundaries, to- wit: ► .,� Beginning at a point made by the intersection of Asher Avenue and Maple Street; thence north along Maple Street to its intersection with 24th Street; thence east along 24th Street to its intersection with Brawn Street; thence north along Brown Street to its intersection with 20th Street; thence west on 20th Street to its intersection with Valmar Street; thence north on Valmar Street to its intersection with 18th Street; thence west on 18th Street to its intersection with Maple Street; thence north on Maple Street to its intersection with 16th Street; thence west on 16th Street to its intersection with Pine Street; thence south on Pine Street to its intersection with 18th Street; thence west on 18th Street to its intersection with Cedar Street; thence north on Cedar Street to its intersection with 16th Street; thence west on 16th Street to its intersection with Elm Street; thence south on Elm Street to its intersection with 17th Street; thence west on 17th Street to its intersection with Washington Street; thence south on Washington Street to its intersection with 20th Street; thence west along 20th Street to the northwest corner of Block 1, Stiel & Yout's Addition to the City of Little Rock; thence south along the west boundary line of Blocks 1 and 2 Stiel & Yout's Addition, to 22nd Street; ' thence west along 22nd Street to the northwest corner of Block 1, Dowdy & Terry's Addition; 4'henee south along the west boundary line of Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 6, in said ada�Iion, to the southwest corner of Block 6 in said addition; thence et,si %long the south lines of Block 6 and Block 5 of said addition to the sout'rit�st corner of said Block 5; thence south along Elmore (sometimes called Adams Street) to 28th Street; thence west along 28th Street to the northwest corner of Block 2, Boulevard Terrace Annex Addition; thence south along the west bo_ uR3 ary line of Block 2 in said addi- tion to 29th Street; thence west along 29th Street to the`h&rthwest corner of Block 12 in said addition; thence south along the west boundary line of said Block 12 to the southwest corner of said block; thence east along the south boundary lines of Block 12 and Block 13 in said addition to the southeast corner of Block 13 in said addition; thence south to Asher Avenue; thence in a northeasterly direction along Asher Avenue to point of beginning. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed, within twenty days from the date of the passage of this ordi- nance, to publish the same in some newspaper of general circulation in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for one insert on.
