WHEREAS, persons claim'Ing to be a majority in value of the owners of real property within the territory hereinafter describ- ed, which property adjoins Street Improvement Distri ct 7o. 308 of Little =;ock, Ark., a duly created and existing improvement dis- trict in said city, desire to be added to arrl included in said im- provement district, and have filed a petition with The City Coun- cil of the City of tittle Rock, Ark:, praying that said territory be annexed to said improvement district and have designated the nature of the improvement to be undertaken, and have described the territory to be annexed, and, �?EREAS, the City Council has directed the city clerk to pub- lish for two weeks in some nevrst,aper issued and having a generay� circulation_- gin1gki County, a notice calling upon the property owners within said territory to appear before this Council on this day and show cause for or against such annexation, and `. - WI ER EAS, such notice has been duly L�ublished and this is the time fixed in said notice fo• the hec -ring to determine whether those signing said petition constitute a majority in value of the owners of real property in said territory and, `WHEREAS, this Council has heard all per.-ons «rho desire to be heard upon the question of whether the signers of said petition constitute a majority in value of the owners of re�nl Lropexty with- in said territory sought to be annexed. THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Bock, Arkansas Section 1. That this Council ha; ascertained that the sign- ers of the petition to annex the prope_•ty hereinafter described to Street Improvement District Into. 308 of the City of Tittle Rock, Arkansas:, constitute a majority in value )f the owners of re,.l property within the territory sought to be anne.�ed, and that said petition for the annexation of said territory is in due form and I - -2- 4 properly signed by a majority of the owners of real properLy as req_uiftd by law. Section 2. That the Vest half of block ti enty -one, Fleming & Bradford's Addition; the Pest one -half of block 12 and 13, Brad - dock's Blvd. Addition; The East half of block 8, Oak Terrace Ad- dition; and the East half of blocks 9, 1 and 8, McCarthy's Addition to the City of Little '13ock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, be, and the same is hereby added to and annexed to Street I�provement District No. 308 of Kittle Nock, and are a part of said improvement district and the commissioners of slid district sh�_ll ;proceed to make the im- provements petitioned for by doing the necessary draining and pav- ing with material and in the manner that the commissioners of said Street Improvement District No. 308 :hall deem to be for the best interest of the territory hereby annexed to said Street Improvement District ilo. 308, on Wolfe Street from the South property line of `.est 24th Street to the Borth curb line of West 27th Street. That said annexed territory shall be known as the VIolfe Street Alinex to Street Improvement District No. 308 of Little =lock, Ark. Section 3. That the commissioners shall make the assessments of benefits for said improvement on the lot, - -- in the territory to be annexe-:d on the same basis as if said territory was included in the original district and sra ll file said assessment with the city clerk. Section 4. That all ordinal ices in conflict herewith are here- by repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and the city clerk is hereby ordered with- in 20 days after the passage of this ordinance to publish the same in some newspaper published in the City of Tittle Rock for one is section. )assed November 6, 1922.
