AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF THE BJNEFITS
TO BE RECEIVE, D BY THF, OWNERS OF EACH OF THE
SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PA3CELS OF LAND "/ITHIN
THE GAINES STR+;ET ANNEX TO CURB, GUTTrR AND PLUM-
ING I'TPROV:EI�NT DISTRICT NO. 295, OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKAN "AS,
77EREAS, A majority of the owners of real property adjoining
the locality to be affected and situated within the Gaines Street
annex to Curb, Gutter and _ plumbing Improvement District No. 295 of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, said property bein; described as
follows; to -wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Block 6, and Lots 7,
83, 92 10, 11 and 12 of Block 11, ma in Kimball's
South Park addition to the City of Little Rock,
2ulaski County, Arkansas;
organized and annexed for the purpose of making local improvements
therein by draining, curbing, guttering and doing the necessary
plumbing on Gaines Street, from the north property line of 7est 30th
Street to the north property line of '-`est 31st Street in the same
manner and .,ith the same materials and according to the same plans
and specifications that have been adopted, or may hereafter be
adopted by the Commissioners for said Curb, Gutter and Plumbing
I�iprovement :District No. 295, have petitioned the City Council of
Little Rock for the construction of said improvements, and that the
costthereof shall be assessed upon the real property within said
annexed territory according to the benefits received; and
W'''HEREAS, . The said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situated :!ithin said annexed terri-
tory eYuals or exceeds the legal assessment thereon; and
= SAS, The estinested cost of said improvement is 3,270.00
in the territory annexed, 4hich together with the estimated cost of
the improvements in Curb, Gutter and Plumbing Improvement District
No. 295 is less than twenty per cent (20,) of the value of the real
property in said Curb, Gutter and Plumbing Improvement 'District No.

295 and the annexed territory combined, as shorn by the last County
assessment;
TH&REFOR.E IT IS NO J ORDAINED BY T 17,, CITY COUNCIL OF TH7,, CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the said several blocks, lots and parcels of
real property within the Gaines Ctreet annexed territory, ss herein -
before described, to Curb, Gutter and ?lumbing Improvement District
No. 295, be, and they are hereby assessed according to the assessment
list for said annex as the same no.r remains in the office of t1B
City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, and as the same may be
annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that ten per
centum of said assessment of the value of the benefits of each of
said blocks, lots and parcels of land, shall be paid annually on or
before the first day of March of each year until the whole of said
assessment shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be m
made on or before the first day of March, 1923.
Section 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herevrith are hereby repealed, this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage.
