AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A PORTION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK INTO A
STREET I10PROVE1,1ENT DISTRICT TO B�KNO'. °''N AS STR_�ET IMPROVEM10T DISTRICT
NO 340 AND DESIGNATING THy BOUNDARIES THEREOF.
WHEREAS, more than ten owners of real property within that port-
ion of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, hereinafter described,
have petitioned the City Council to take steps toward making of local
improvements therein by forming the territory hereinafter described
into an improvement district for the purposes hereinafter set out:
THF2EFORE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Little Rock.
Section 1. That said Street Improvement district No. 340 of
the City of Little Rook.-be, and the same is hereby created and establ-
ished for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering and
paving in such manner and with such materials as the commissioners
of said district shall determine to be for the best interest of the
district the following street.
Broadway Street from the north line of Markham Street to the
north line of Tenth Street, and West Second Street from the east line
of Broadway Street to a point One Hundred Fifty (150) feet east of
the east line of Broadway Street, all in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas in accordance with an Act of the General Assembly of the
State of Arkansas entitled, "An Act to Regulate Local Improvements
in Cities of the First Class," Approved March 22, 1881, and amen-
dments thereto; that the boundaries of said district shall include
the following property:
The boundaries of the district shall include all real property
bounding or abutting upon the portion of said streets that are to be
improved as aforesaid and running back a distance of 150 feet there-

from, and shall also include Lots 7,8 & 9, Block 100, and Lots 10,
11 & 12, Block 121, Original City of Little Rock, and none other.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take
e -'feet and be in force from and after its passage, and the City Clerk
is hereby ordered within twenty days from the date of its passage to
publish the same in some newspaper published in the City of Little
Rock for one insertion.
