ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF THE BENEFITS
TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE
SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS, PARCELS AND OTHER. SUB-
DIVISIONS OF LAND ',WITHIN CURB, GUTTER AND STOR14
SEXIER DISTRICT NUMBER 331 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property
owners owning property adjoining the locality to be
affected and situated within Curb, Gutter & Storm
Sewer District Number 331 of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making
local improvementstherein by constructing curbs and
gutters on each side of the following named street,
to -wit: Laurel Street from Markham Street to Lee
Avenue; and by constructing storm sewers where said
commissioners may deem them necessary, the work to be
done of such material as the commissioners may deem
best as set out in their petition, having petitioned
the City Council of Little Rock for the construction
of the improvement and that the cost thereof shall be
assessed upon the real property within said district,
according to the benefits received; and,
f-IEREAS, said benefits received by each and every
block, lot, parcel and other sub- division of real
property situated within said district equals or
exceeds the local assessment thereon; and,
rP�:E ^_S, the estimated cost of said improvement
is 47,180.00;
THEREFORE, it is now ordained by the Cite Council

of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
7ection 1. That the several blocks, lots,
parcels and other subdivisions of real property
within said Curb, Gutter and Storm Sewer District
Number 331 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
be, and they are hereby assessed according to the
assessment list for said improvement district as
the same now remains in the office of the City
Clerk in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and as
the same may be annually readjusted by the Board
of Assessors, and that ten per centum of said
assessment of the value of the benefits on each of
said blocks, lots, parcels and other subdivisions
of land shall be paid annually on or before the
first day of July of each year until the whole of
said assessment shall have been paid. The first
annual payment shall be made on or before the first
day of July, 1923.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
