streets, a pavement should not be laid until adequate water mains
with the proper number of fire hydrants have been installed on
said streets, and
, a'RTAS, the commissioners of Curb, Gutter Sidewalk
Improvement District No. 318 have agreed to advance to the City
of Little Rock a yearly rental as required by the present in junc-
tion order of the United States District Court or as the same
may be modified, until such tire as the property has been devel-
oped to such an extent that this expense is rightfully one that
the City should pay;
NOW.THEREFORE, BE IT OR')AI_r,,D BY TTTI CITY' COUNiCIL IF THS
CITY OF LITTL.c. _ROCK, A'IKANSAS :
SECTION 1: That the Arkansas Water Company be, and it is
hereby ordered and directed to extend its water mains,not less
than 8" in size, on all lines serving fire hydrants, along
Broadway south of 27th Street And Virginia Place, and to install
along said streets fire hydrants at points designated by the Chief
of the Fire Department.
SECTION 2: That the City of Little 'ock shall pay rentals
on extensions and fire hydrants set out in the preceding section
ac- ,ording to the injunction order of the United States District
Court relative to r.atos novi or 3s same may be hereafter clanged.
SECTION 3: That the Mayor and Board of Public affairs are
hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the commissioners

of Curb, Nutter s;. lidewalk wmprovement 7)istrict No. 318 as
recited in the above - preamble.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or pa.-ts of ordi-
nances in conflict here,:7ith are hereby repealed only insofar
as they conflict with this ordinance.
