AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF TIP, BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERN LOTS, BLOCKS, PARCELS, RAILROAD RIGHT -OF -WAYS OR OTHER SUB - DIVISIONS OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 548 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. AREAS, a majority in value of the owners of real pro- perty owning real property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within Street Improvement District No. 348 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of mak- ing local improvements therein by grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving in such manner and with such materials as the commissioners of said District shall determine to be for the best interests of the District, the streets set out in their peti- tion, have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock for the construction of said improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property within said District ac- cording to the benefits received; and WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every lot, block, parcel, railroad-right-of-way or other sub - division of real property situated within said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $6990805 THEREFORE, IT IS NOW ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKAYSAS : SECTION 1: That the said several lots, blocks, parcels, railroad right -of -ways or other sub - divisions of real property within said Street Improvement District No. 348 be, and they are, hereby assessed according to the assessment list for said improve- ment district as the same now remains in the office of the City �2s Clerk of the City of Littl(, Rock, as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that nine per centum (9%) of said assessment of the value of the benefits of each of said lots, blocks, parcels, railroad right -of -ways or other sub- divisions of real property in said district shall be paid annually ugus t on or before the 15th day ofe of each year until the whole of said assessment shall have been paid. The first annual payment Ausrus t shall be made on or before the 15th day of 1923. SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Passed June 11th, 1923.
