ARK. .. ell rTAW ORDINANCE NO. _� 2-,§- 71- 3 An Ordinance Assessing the Value of the Bene- fits to be Received by the Owners of Each of Several Blocks, Lots, Parcels and other Subdivisions of Land Within Street Improvement District No. 340 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property owners owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and sit- uated within Street Improvement District No. 340 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making local improvements therein by grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving in such manner and with such materials as the commis- sioners of said district shall determine to be for the best in- terests of the district, the streets set out in the petition, have petitioned the City Council of Little Rock for the construc- tion of said improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property within said district according to the benefits received; and, «iEI-7AS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot, parcel and other subdivision of real property situated within said district ecuals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and, WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $105,195.78. THERF20a, it is now ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: r W e Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots, parcels and other subdivisions of real property within said Street'Im- provement District No. 340 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and they are hereby assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of Little Rock, and as the same may be annually re- adjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that three (3) per centum of said asse ssirient of the value of the benefits on each of said blocks, lots, parcels and other subdivisions of land shall be paid annually on or before the first day of October of each year, for the first five years, (5) and that five and a(5 2/3) per centum of said assessment of the value of the benefits on each of said blocks, lots, parcels and other subdivisions of land shall be paid annually on or be- fore the first day of October of each year, thereafter, until the whole of said assessment shall have been paid. The first annual payment shall be made on or before the first day of October, 1923. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in Rill force and effect from and after its passage.
