ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A CERTAIN PORTION OF T?&
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, INTO A LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDS
THEREOF, SAID DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS "STREET
IMPROVE14ENT DISTRICT IXAIBER OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROC:, ARKANSAS. "
?VHEREAS , more than ten owners of real
property within the bounds herein mentioned have
petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, to take steps looking toward the making of
local improvements therein by grading, draining,
curbing, guttering and paving in such manner and with
such materials as the commissioners of said district
shall determine to be for the best interests of the
district, the following streets, to -wit: Pearl
Avenue ( lying between blocks 4, 7 and 8, in Young's
Park Addition sax's to the City oil Little Ronk, Arkansas,
on the east, and blocks five and siX, in Young's Park
Addition wraforesaid, on the west) from Markham Street
to Fifth Street; and Fifth Street from the west property
line of said Pearl Avenue in an easterly direction to
the east property line of Appian Way; arrl Appian trap
from the south property line of said Fifth Street to
the north property line of Seventh Street; NOW,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That "Street Improvement
District No ..o of the City of Little Rocs:,
Arkansas," be and the same hereby is created, laid
out and established for the purpose of grading,
draining, curbing, guttering and paving in such
manner and with such materials as the commissioners
of said district shall determine to be for the best
interests of the district, the following streets,
to -wit: Pearl Avenue ( lying between blocks 4,
7 and 8, in Young's Vark Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the east, and blocks
five and six, in Young's Park Addition aforesaid,
on the west) from PMarkh.ain Street to Fifth Street;
and Fifth Street from the crest property line of said
Pearl Avenue in an easterly direct ion to the east
property line of Appian Way; and Appian Way from the
south property line of said Fifth Street to the north
property line of Seventh Street; in accordance with mi:
Act of the General Assembly of the, state of Arkansas
entitled "An Act To Regulate The :Manner of Assessing
Real Property For Local Improvements In Cities of the
First and Second Class," approved March 22, 1881,
and amendments thereto.
Section 2. That the District hereby
created, 7a id out and established shall include that
portion of the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, described as follows, to -grit: Lots 1, 29 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, in block five; lots 129
13, 14, 15, 161, 179 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22, in block

Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
also, lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 59 6, 10, 11 and 12, in
block four; lots 4, 59 69 7, 8 and 9 in block
three; lots 1, 2, 3, 10, 11 and 12 in block five;
lots 41 5, 69 7, 8 and 9 in block six; all in
Ferndale Addition to the City of Little Rook,
Arkansas-,
Section 3. That all ordinances ani,
parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage
and publication; and the City Clerk is hereby
ordered within twenty days from the passage of this
ordinance to publish same in some newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Little nook,
Arkansas, for one insertion.
