T1HLREAS persons claiming to be a majority in value of
the ovmers of real property within the territory hereinafter
described, whi_ch property adjoins Street Im9rovement ')istrict
Yo. 347 of Li the -Rock, 2,rka,nsas, a duly erected and existing
improvement district in said city, desire to be Rcided to and
included in said improvement district, and have filed a Peti-
ti .) n a ith the City Council of the Ci t,,% of Little '?o ck, Arkansas,
praying, that said territory be annexed to said Improvement Dis-
trict and have designated the nature of the imorovementc to be
undertaken, and have described the territory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS the City Council has directed the .ity Clerk to
publish for two Weeks in some nevs�aner issued and having; a gen-
eral circulation in ''ula.ski ';ounty, a notice calling upon the Pro-
perty osners within said territory to appe ar before this Coi.incil
on this day and show cause for or against such annexation, and

the tine fixed in said notice for the hearing; to determine tahe-
ther those signing: said petition constitute a majority in value
of the owners of real property in said territory, and

petition constitute a majority in value of the o;tners of real
property within said territory sought to be annexed;

SECTION 1: That this Council has ascertained that the
signers of the ;petition to annex the , ?rooerty hereinafter des-
cribed to Street Improvement District No. 347 of the City of Little

Bock, Arkansas, constitute a majority in value of the o,vners of
real property within the territory sought to be annexed, and that
said petition for the annexation of said territory is in due form
and proC
---e rly signed by a majority of the osners of real property
as required by late.
9, E0 TI0IT 2: That Lots 4 to 9 inclu:A ve of Blocks
120 and 123, and Lots 1, 2, 3, 101, 11 and 12 of Blocks 119 and
124, all
in the original City of Little
Rock,

Arkansas,
be, and they are hereby Added
to and
annexed
to Street
Improvement District No. 347 of Tittle Tock, and are a part of
said Improvement District, and the comnissi oners of said District
shall proceed to maKe the improvements petitioned for by doing the
necessary I)aving,draining, curbing, grading and plumbing in such
manner and ,-rith such materials as the commissioners of said '�is-
t,ict shall determine to be for the best interests of the terri-
tory hereby annexed to said Street Improvement District IO. 347
on Mest Second Street from the west property line of Broadway
Street to the east property line of Gaines Street; that such
annexed territory shall be known as Annex No. 1 to Street Improve-
ment Bi stri ct No. 347 of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 3; That the commissioners shall make the
assessment
of benefits for said
i iprov.�ments
on the lots in the
territory
hereby annexed on the
sine basis as
if said territory
had been included in the original district and shall file said
assessments with the City Clerk.
SECTIOPI 4: That all ordinances in conflict here:vith
are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and the City Clerk is hereby
ordered within 20 dart's after the passage of this ordinance to
publish same in some ne.vspaber published in the City of Little
Rock for one insertion.
