HomeMy WebLinkAbout3611O R D I N A N C E No . 3b An Ordinance assessing the value of benefits to be received by the owners of each of the several blocks, lots and parcels of land within Curb, Gutter, Drain- age and Sidewalk District No. 396 of the City of Little Rock. Whereas, a majority in value of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Curb, Gutter, Drainage and Sidewalk District No. 396 in the City of Little Rock, organized for the purpose of constructing sidewalks on all streets within the District except vartin Street, the north side of Ozark Avenue and the east side of North �doodrow Street, and also for the purpose of constructing curbs, gutters and drainage on all those parts of Ozark Avenue, Louise Street, Lee Avenue and North Woodrow Street within the District, in the manner and of the materials that the commissioners for the said district shall deem for the best interest of the district, have petitioned the City Counoil of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction of said improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property in said district according to the benefits received; and, whereas, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property, railroad and railroad right-of-way situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and, Whereas, the estimated cost of said improvement is Thirteen Thousand Nine hundred and Forty Three and 60100 Dollars ( ,1131,943.60), and the assessment benefits amount to Twenty Five Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy Five and noA00 Dollars ($25,675.00); therefore, Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock; Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots and parcels of real property, railroads and railroad rights -of -way in said Curb, Gutter, Drainage and Side- walk District No. 396 be and they are hereby assessed according to the assess- meat list as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, and as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that 6Ar e of said assessment of the value of benefits to each of said blocks, lots and parcels of land, railroads and railroad rights of way shall, be paid annually on or before the - day of Octol)e . -, 7 until the whole of said assessment shall have been paid. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. gassed August 11, 1924.
